Clerk Hanlon

Clerk Hanlon is passionate about preserving our County’s history and had the pleasure of participating in Monmouth University's Department of History and Anthropology and Urban Coast Institute's “Tracking Sandy” project to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Superstorm Sandy. Clerk Hanlon recorded an oral history where she was interviewed by Monmouth University Professor Melissa Ziobro and recounted her service as a Commissioner on the County Board of Elections at the time, and the unprecedented challenges local election officials faced in conducting a presidential election in the days following the historic storm. The oral history will live in the public domain for future generations and will be a part of Monmouth University’s continued efforts to preserve this difficult time period in our County’s history.
