At about this precise time 10 years ago today, gunshots rang out in a place they should never be heard -- and within minutes, 20 young children and 6 of their educators were lost, far before their time, in a tragedy that will forever defy description or comprehension.
We continue to mourn the loss of the community of Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut; to cherish the legacy their loved ones left behind; and to steadfastly recommit to the ideal of honoring their memories by working against gun violence in all its forms.
