In the week ending Jan. 10, one gas station in Monmouth County sold diesel gas at the lowest reported price of $3.35 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The average reported price of diesel gas across the county was $3.72 per gallon.
GasBuddy reports show that diesel gas was available at 61 of the 196 reported gas stations in Monmouth County.
The average reported price for a gallon of diesel gas in New Jersey was $3.68, unchanged from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration expects global oil stockpiles to keep growing into 2026, a trend that could weigh on crude prices in the near term.
