Vanderbilt, led by Justine Pissott, defeats Illinois in NCAA Tournament opener

Former Red Bank Catholic High School basketball star Justine Pissott helped lead her current team, the Vanderbilt Commodores, to a 75-57 victory over the Illinois Fighting Illini in the NCAA Tournament on Monday, March 23.

The matchup was held at Memorial Gymnasium and tipped off at 6 p.m.

Pissott recorded 18 points, three rebounds, two blocks and one assist while playing 36 minutes.

The next contest for the Vanderbilt Commodores is scheduled for Friday, March 27, at 1:35 p.m. at Dickies Arena.
