United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties issued the following announcement.

UWMOC recently distributed hundreds of personal care bags to local schools and community partners as part of our Basic Needs Initiative! Our project aims to provide consistent, reliable access to hygiene products to alleviate the financial strain and stress on youth and their families.

With 34% of households in Monmouth and Ocean counties living paycheck to paycheck and struggling to earn enough to afford basic necessities, this project helps families with making difficult choices such as paying their bills or buying essential personal care items.
