The Borough of Red Bank released its 2025 Borough Manager’s End-of-Year Report on Mar. 13, highlighting progress in infrastructure, redevelopment planning, public safety, and community engagement.

The report provides an overview of the past year’s accomplishments and reaffirms the borough’s focus on responsible governance, fiscal stewardship, and long-term development.

“This report captures a year of meaningful progress for Red Bank, but the real story is the people behind the work,” said Borough Manager Jim Gant. “Across every department, our employees show up each day committed to serving the community with professionalism, pride, and a deep sense of responsibility. The projects completed, services delivered, and challenges addressed throughout 2025 reflect a team that cares deeply about this Borough and consistently goes above and beyond to make Red Bank a better place for our residents, businesses, and visitors.”

Key achievements in 2025 included completion of the Monmouth Street Streetscape Project and progress on the Marine Park Improvement Project. These initiatives were supported by state and county funding. The borough also received national recognition for transportation planning and pedestrian safety: it was ranked among the Top 10 municipalities nationwide for its Complete Streets policy by Smart Growth America and earned Gold-level recognition through the Safe Routes to School program for the 2025–2027 cycle. Additionally, Red Bank implemented its Bilingual Community Engagement Project to expand multilingual access to municipal resources.

“These achievements represent just a few of the many accomplishments detailed in the Manager’s Report, demonstrating how ongoing efforts continue to fortify and enhance the Red Bank community,” according to officials.

Mayor Billy Portman said: “There’s a lot to be proud of in the work highlighted here, and just as much happening across the Borough every day that people don’t always see. The progress we’ve made this year shows what’s possible when we invest in Red Bank and work together, reaffirming our commitment to the future of our community.”

Looking ahead to 2026, borough leaders say they will continue focusing on infrastructure modernization, redevelopment initiatives, sustainability efforts, and expanded community engagement.
