Please see the below statement from New Jersey OAG Attorney General Matthew Platkin on a potentially credible threat to synagogues statewide, as reported by the Newark chapter of the FBI – Federal Bureau of Investigation: 

We at MCPO have proactively contacted our local police chiefs to increase patrols at our synagogues, and are asking all of our local leaders and community organizations to please coordinate their efforts, share information, and remain vigilant regarding any potential threats. Especially the general public, including our Jewish communities across Monmouth County, we urge everyone: if you see something, say something by contacting local authorities.
