One of 2022’s amazing new collection gifts was this majorette’s uniform and accessories. They were owned and worn by Jane Matthews Ekdahl. Jane was born in 1938 and attended Freehold High School. She joined the Junior Varsity Cheer group in 1952, and by 1955 was head majorette, creating all the team’s cheer routines. Jane married fellow Freehold resident Paul Ekdahl in 1957.
