The Salisbury Sea Gulls were narrowly defeated by the Messiah Falcons, 8-7, in their NCAA Division III baseball matchup on Tuesday, March 10, at 3:30 p.m. Former Marlboro High School standout Tyler Villa pitched for Salisbury in the game.
The contest was held at Donnie Williams Sea Gull Baseball Stadium and marked the first time this season the Sea Gulls faced the Falcons.
Villa pitched 3.1 innings, giving up three earned runs, issuing two walks, and recording four strikeouts.
The Sea Gulls are slated to play next on Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m. against the Centenary Cyclones at Donnie Williams Sea Gull Baseball Stadium.
