The Lenoir-Rhyne Bears, featuring former Ranney School standout Jack Renaud, came up short 14-9 against the Belmont Abbey Crusaders in their NCAA Division II baseball game on Tuesday, March 17, at 5 p.m.

Abbey Yard hosted the contest, marking the first meeting between the two teams this season.

Renaud entered the mound for 0.1 innings.

Up next, the Bears are set to face the Barton Bulldogs on Tuesday, March 24, at 3 p.m. at Nixon Field.
