CentraState Healthcare Foundation hosted its 64th Annual Celebration Ball on Feb. 6, honoring Eugene W. Landy and raising more than $300,000 to support programs and services at Atlantic Health CentraState Medical Center.

The event recognized Landy for his longstanding support of CentraState and his leadership in the real estate investment trust industry. Landy is the founder and chairman of UMH Properties, Inc., as well as founder and former chairman of Monmouth Real Estate Investment Corporation. He is a graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and Yale Law School.

More than 220 guests attended the ball at South Gate Manor, which featured an “Under the Sea” theme with ocean-inspired decorations, live saxophone music during cocktail hour, and immersive video displays in the ballroom. The evening included remarks from Thomas Scott, president and CEO of CentraState Healthcare System, and Brett Taft, chair of the CentraState Healthcare Foundation Board of Trustees.

The foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of Atlantic Health CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey. Since its incorporation in 1981, it has aimed to connect community members with opportunities to support health care initiatives through volunteering and contributions.

Atlantic Health operates eight hospitals across New Jersey and provides care through more than 550 sites including urgent care centers and physician practices. The system employs about 25,000 team members serving over half of New Jersey’s population.
