Alternate side parking in Asbury Park will remain suspended through Tuesday, February 3, except where otherwise noted. Metered parking is now back in effect and will be enforced as usual.

To facilitate snow removal, parking restrictions are being implemented on the east side of several streets from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Tuesday, February 3, there will be no parking on Emory Street between Summerfield Avenue and Deal Lake Drive. On Wednesday, February 4, Heck Street from Cookman Avenue to Fifth Avenue will have similar restrictions. Langford Street from Prospect Avenue to Sunset Avenue will be affected on Thursday, February 5, and Comstock Street from Prospect Avenue to Sunset Avenue on Friday, February 6.

Residents with questions about roadway snow removal can contact Public Works at 732-775-0900.

Property owners and business owners are required by City Ordinance § 13-302.11 to clear snow and ice from sidewalks within 12 hours after snowfall ends or within 24 hours if a state of emergency is declared. The city states that this requirement is actively enforced: “This requirement is actively enforced and violations will result in a court summons and a $100 fine.”

The city emphasizes the importance of sidewalk clearing for pedestrian safety and access for deliveries, essential services, and residents with mobility challenges: “Clearing sidewalks ensures safe pedestrian access and supports deliveries, essential services, and residents with mobility challenges.”

Sidewalk snow removal violations can be reported to Code Enforcement at 732-502-5742.
