The City of Asbury Park released on April 27 its weekly briefing outlining upcoming city meetings, events, and important reminders for residents.

The briefing is intended to keep the community informed about local government activities and opportunities for engagement in the coming week. It includes information on public meetings, city-sponsored events, and deadlines relevant to residents.

According to the announcement, several city meetings are scheduled. The Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet on Tuesday, April 28 at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chambers. The Environmental Shade Tree Commission meeting has a new date and time and will take place Wednesday, April 29 at 6:30 PM in the same location. The Library Board will hold its regular meeting Thursday, April 30 at 5:30 PM at the Asbury Park Public Library.

Community events this week include line dancing classes on Monday evening at the Senior Center. On Thursday night from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, “Mayor’s Rodeo for Recreation” will be held at The Stone Pony as a special event supporting recreation programs in Asbury Park. Residents are also invited to attend “First Fridays: Art & Sound” on Friday evening from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Press Plaza.

Residents are reminded that tax and sewer bills are due by Friday, May 1. The city encourages everyone to submit payments promptly.
