The City of Asbury Park announced on March 17 that it will host a free Easter Egg Hunt at Springwood Park on Sunday, April 5, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event is open to all children ages 10 and under.

The Easter Egg Hunt aims to provide a festive activity for local families and children. Organizers have scheduled two separate hunts: one for children ages 2 to 6 at 1 p.m., and another for those ages 7 to 10 at 2 p.m. Easter bags will be provided for participants, and outside baskets are not permitted.

In addition to the egg hunt, there will be an opportunity for photos with the Easter Bunny. Goody bags will be given out to the first 200 children who attend the event.

For more information about the event, residents can call any of the following numbers: 732-502-5759, 908-770-1765, or 732-502-5753.

If it rains on April 5, organizers said that goody bags will instead be distributed on April 26 at City Hall, located at 1 Municipal Plaza in Asbury Park, from noon until 2 p.m.
